Take a break from the main hall and experience the art of beer and food pairings as expert chefs and brewers team up to tempt your taste buds. The Beer & Food Pavilion is located in the middle of the festival hall, directly behind the Support Your Local Brewery Pavilion.
Note: Demonstrations are limited to 100 participants and samples will be provided to seated guests only on a first-come, first-served basis.

| Chef Chris Blackwood of the West End Tavern in Boulder is teaming up with Denise Jones from Moylan’s Brewery to bring you the ultimate in beer and food pairing. Together they will showcase a diverse range of flavor profiles that run the gamut from Cajun to all-American. | |
| 7:30 pm – 8:00 pm | How to Make Your Own Pretzels & Pair them with Elysian Beers |
| Pretzels are often one of the first foods people think about when it comes to beer. This presentation featuring Butchy Craft of Elyisan Brewing Company is your chance to learn to make your own great tasting pretzels at home. The pretzel dough will be made with a variety of beers from Elyisan Brewing Company, creating an array of flavors. You will be guided through the entire process from start to finish, and the pretzels will be paired with Elysian beers. | |
| 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm | The Great American Beer & Food Pairing Challenge – Highland Tap & Burger |
| On your mark. Get set. Go! Join in the fun as two competing brewers rush around the festival hall trying to find the perfect beer to pair with a mystery dish from Highland Tap & Burger. As the brewers rush to find the beer, attendees will be shown how to prepare the dish. Ultimately, the audience will judge and decide which brewer chose the perfect pairing. | |

| The Beer Therapist, Julie Pech, teams up with the Beervangelist, Fred Bueltmann of New Holland Brewing Co., to find the beer and chocolate pairing for what ails you. Tantalizing samples of Colorado-made chocolates will be served alongside some of the finest ales the state of Michigan has to offer. Get there early to claim your spot in the presentation that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. | |

| Join Stephanie Izard, Top Chef winner and owner/chef of Girl & the Goat as she teams up with Goose Island Brewmaster, Jared Rouben, to share their collaborative kitchen-to-kettle brewing process. Stephanie and Jared will provide insights on brewing beers to complement food and creating food to complement beers. They’ll be sharing samples of their most recent collaboration: “Farmer’s Market,” a honey smoked Porter, paired with a sweet and smoky dish. | |

| The team from Oscar Blues, including Head Brewer Dave Chichura, Chef Jason Rogers, and Farmer Geoff Hess present pairings of their home-grown fresh hopped brews and their Black Angus beef, which is raised on The Oskar Blues Hops and Heifers 50 acre farm. While guests enjoy the pairings, discussions of sustainable brewery-led farm to table practices will be discussed. | |

Michael will pair a selection of award-winning American cheeses with beers from award-winning American breweries. Each beer and cheese pairing will highlight the common and not-so-common bonds that make these fermented foods perfect partners. | |

| The Homebrew Chef, Sean Paxton, will cook up mystery dishes and challenge two brewers to find their perfect beer pairings from one of the 2000+ beers at the GABF. This fast-paced presentation is sure to delight your senses with amazing food and fantastic beer. The audience will crown a champion and name one brewer winner of the Great American Beer & Food Pairing Challenge. | |
