Study up on the schedule of GABF happenings
Does a Boy Scout go camping without figuring out how to pitch a tent? Does a quarterback start a football game without looking at the playbook? Does an actor go onstage without memorizing his lines? Of course not. So make sure you do your homework before you show up at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF), because there are a ton of awesome appearances, talks, activities and more that you won’t want to miss.
If you’re looking to bone up on your chef skills and maybe cook a dinner featuring your favorite craft beers, you’ll want to see what’s going on at the Beer & Food Pavilion. Among other terrific guests this year, we’re excited to have Stephanie Izard, winner of Bravo’s Top Chef season four, presenting on Friday night.

Beer fanatics are sure to find something of interest at the Brewers Studio Pavilion. Here, the personalities and innovators of the craft brewing industry take the mic and tell their stories. Thursday features a special talk with GABF founder Charlie Papazian, along with Ken Grossman of Sierra Nevada and Jim Koch of Boston Beer Company. They’ll look back on 30 years of GABF and even celebrate with a special cake!
Feeling bookish? The GABF bookstore is not only a great place to find all of the Brewers Publications titles, it’s where you’ll find your favorite authors. Nearly 50 signings are booked, including well-known authors like Sam Calagione, Charlie Papazian, Randy Mosher, Ray Daniels, Garrett Oliver, Greg Koch and more.

Lastly, if you were fortunate enough to secure a ticket to the Farm to Table Pavilion, you’re in for a treat! Adam Dulye, chef at San Francisco’s The Monk’s Kettle, has assembled an all-star team of chefs to craft amazing food to pair with beer from 12 exceptional breweries.
Under a month to go ’til GABF—are you ready?
