Brewery Application Starts Tomorrow + Hotels & Updates

Greetings everyone,

It’s time! Application for breweries opens tomorrow (June 21).

A few things to note:

  • Thinking ahead to promotion of medals at this year’s GABF – there’s a change in the rules regarding use of the GABF trademark when promoting your win. This change goes into effect with the 2016 event. Be sure to read the “Promote Your Win – Compliance” section of the site for details – specifically paragraph #6.
  • The hotel portal for reserving discounted rooms for GABF week opens on July 5. All reservations require a deposit of $106 which will be charged at the time of booking. If the reservation is cancelled on or before August 14, 2016, the deposit is refundable less a $6 processing fee.
    • If the reservation is cancelled on or after August 15, 2016, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made within 72 hours prior to arrival will result in a penalty equal to 1 night’s room and tax. This will appear on your credit card as ConferenceDirect LLC. A processing fee of $6 will be deducted from the deposit and $100 will be applied towards your reservation.
    • The reason for this change in hotel reservations is that we see multiple hotel reservations being made and then cancelled just days prior to the event. When this happens the hotel room blocks fill up and others are unable to book hotel reservations in the hotels that are close to the venue even though the hotels have availability. Hotel rooms that others could have booked go unused.
