Brewing with Adjuncts: Taking Back a Dirty Word

The Intrepid Sojourner Beer Project is intent on taking back the word “adjunct,” which has been tarnished by its association with corn, rice, and other starchy non-barley products routinely utilized by large production breweries. Using the philosophy that beer is food, they allow their beers to take on a wide range of flavors from all different kinds of adjuncts. Owner and head brewer Andrew Moore will offer up some of his latest creations to show how adjuncts can actually be a positive in craft beers.
