A Flavor Experiment: Comparing Sour Methods and Barrel Fermentations

Joel Moore of Big Storm Brewing Co. has explored alternative approaches to sour ale production and is excited to share the results with you. Taste along with his findings as he discusses kettle souring versus post- fermentation blending with a Lactobacillus “mother” culture. Moore will also introduce the concept of a Belgian quintuple ale and the flavor impact that various woods have on the beer.
