Meet Your 2022 Breweries!

Great American beer comes from great American breweries, and this year’s brewery roster is a testament to our country’s diverse and rich brewing culture.

The state of the beer union is STRONG.

Just look at this list of your 2022 GABF breweries. You’ll see producers large and small, hailing from all corners of the country. You’ve got packaging breweries, taprooms, brewpubs, farm breweries, neighborhood haunts, regional powerhouses, upstarts, and stalwarts.

A few of them are likely familiar names, but many more are probably new to you. The mix of the known and unknown is one of the best features of the fest. Every year is an opportunity to both revisit your faves and explore new flavors.

Note: The brewery list includes breweries with booths; additional breweries pouring in other areas of the festival — PAIRED, taprooms, etc. — will be announced soon!

A Look Back

In 1982, GABF’s first year, there were 93 breweries in operation in the U.S., and 24 of them poured their beers at the festival. That inaugural gathering took place at the Harvest House in Boulder, Colorado (GABF moved to Denver a few years later).

That first festival presaged the brewing renaissance that’s still going today, and now more than 80% of Americans live within 10 miles of a brewery. Colorado alone has more than 400 in operation!

And in our 40th year, there is a 1,567% increase in number of participating breweries from our first celebration of great American beer. 😮

Needless to say, it’s been quite a run for the festival and for American breweries. If you’re lucky enough to have your ticket to our 40th anniversary celebration, prepare for an epic experience! Don’t yet have a ticket? Remedy that right here.
